Product Overview

Used during the 19th century, the 1842 musket rifle was first made in smoothbore and then later a with a rifled barrel to allow for use of the newly developed Minie Ball. It was the first US musket to be produced with a percussion lock and was superior to the flintlock since it was more reliable and resistant to weather. This rifle was used during the American Civil War.

The Build-It-Yourself Rifle kits are one of the best ways to get a real hands-on muzzleloading experience! With easy step-by-step instructions, this kit is simple to assemble.

This rifle is an authentic reproduction made with high quality, premium metal and wood finishes as well as hand-oiled wood stocks. Approved by the North-South Skirmish Association (N-SSA). Perfect for shooters, hunters, enthusiasts, collectors, and those performing re-enactments.
